Last night we released Organize365 v7.05, which you can download from here.
There are several really exciting new features in this build, which will be expanded upon over the coming weeks.
First and foremost, you can now link contacts to calendar items! Yes, I know that some other PIMs have been able to do this for years already, but Organize365 can share that data with other users automatically!
In other words, you can create a new appointment, create a new contact, link that contact to the appointment, and everyone else on your network will be able to view and edit that data automatically!
Over the coming weeks we will be replicating this functionality to other parts of Organize365. Eventually you will be able to right-click on a contact in either the Address Book, or in your Email screen, and select "Create new appointment".
Linking with this, you can now right-click on a contact in the Address Book and select "View Contact History". This displays a list of every email that you have sent to that contact, or received from that contact, as well as every appointment or task which that contact has been linked to!
I'm using my calendar to create "appointments" each time I make important phone calls. I simply enter a brief description of the phone call into the appointment title, then link it to the relevant person in my Address Book.
I can then right-click on any of my contacts and see not only the emails and appointments for that contact, but also all of my telephonic communication!
There is also a new droplist in the Address Book that lets you view contacts that belong to a specific company, which I'm finding incredibly useful.
More to come, watch this space..
